Curcuma Longa, also known as “turmeric” or “yellow ginger”, has been cultivated in India and other tropical countries for centuries.
Similar to ginger, its rhizome forms lateral roots in the subsoil and leaves with flowers on the surface. This plant grows best in humid and warm areas.
In order to obtain “Curcumin”, it is used the rhizome part of the plant, which, after being dried, is ground into powder.
